Korean Feast !!!
Daddy and Mummy did not have me as 'light bulb' on Fri evening (shall tell the reason why I was not with them in another post) so they decided to go try out some authentic Korean feast. Daddy remembered his colleague mentioned some korean family restaurant near Beauty World, so they went there (Kim's Korean Family Restaurant).
And indeed it was quite authentic. For a start, they had this wide variety of starter dishes .... when Daddy went to Houston for business trips years back, he tried out a korean restaurant, and they had close to 12 starter dishes !!!

Because of the starter dishes, they decided not to order too much food .... had chicken
Kimchi pancake ... yummy
Spicy seafood soup .... and really flavourful, with the freshness from clams, prawns, squid and crab !!!
They were so full from the feast that they next went to Orchard to do some late window shopping and walk around to digest the food. Been a long time since they wandered down Orchard Road late at night .... settled down for some coffee at Coffee Bean. By 11 pm, they were feeling the "drowsy bug" effect, so decided to go home ... old already. Haha
Nice to get rid of me once in a while .... haha

Still Not Successful ...
Daddy and Mummy (actually it was Mummy) had durian craving so we decided to go to the nearby market which sells durian and lots of different types of fruits. And this time, when I passed by the durian stalls, I did not pinch my nose at all !!! Improvement from the last time.
And when Daddy was chossing the durians I told Daddy that I wanted to try a litle bit at home. Good news for Daddy and Mummy.
So when we reached home, I tried the durian flesh, and .....
Still not successful in eating durians .... sigh

Peanut Allergy Test - Part 1
On Thurs, Daddy brought me to KK Hospital in the afternoon to do a blood test and a skin prick test for my peanut allergy. This is in preparation of the peanut challenge test at the end of Mar (to see if I am ready to actually eat peanuts and see for any allergy reaction).
Upon reaching the clinic, I told Daddy that I have been there before, for egg and milk allergy tests. Super good memory, can even tell Daddy which room the doctor was. When I waited outside the blood test room, Daddy can see I was a little uneasy because I was restless and kept fidgeting. So Daddy let me play with his iPhone, trying to distract me. I knew I had my blood test done there previously
When it was my turn, the person who helped to draw my blood was a very nice uncle. Tried to distract me by asking my questions. Initially I did not want to give him my arm, but a little while later (with Daddy and uncle pyschoing me), I held out my arm to the uncle. And when the small needle went in, I DID NOT CRY AT ALL !!! The uncle even told me to look at the how the blood flowed from my arm to the syringe ..... and Daddy was so proud of me. He thought I would have cried a while !!! Have to say, the uncle was very experienced and I have grown up.
Next was the skin prick test on my bad. I knew I had that before, and told Daddy it will be painful and itchy. But Daddy told me I did not cry during the blood test so the skin prick test pales in comparison .... and the kind jie-jie who did the test for me helped a lot. She was very good with kids, and in no time, I was done with the prick test.
While waiting for the reaction (15 minutes wait before jie-jie can take measurements), Daddy brought me for a walk around the hospital and told me that he will buy an ice-cream from MacDonald's after all the tests, for being a real brave gal (Daddy and Mummy promised me the night before). So after 15 minutes, the results are out
I am not allergic to shellfish (did the shellfish test as well, since I had a little reaction months ago when I took some clam chowder soup). As for peanut, there was still some allergy reaction, so have to wait for the blood test to be more confirmative (before the doctor decide whether I am ready to take the peanut challenge test).
Hope I can grow out of peanut allergy soon .... and start eating peanut butter. Otherwise, the chances of outgrowing the allergy really reduce over time

Sesame Street Tidbits
A big thank you to Chester gor-gor and Glenda jie-jie, who went to Japan for their vacation, and brought back this Sesame Street tidbit for me !!!
The next day, I told Daddy that I want to share that with all my classmates (since Daddy and Mummy always taught me to share good stuff). Including me, we have a total of 14 pax, and it was just nice that the box contained 14 pieces. Unfortunately, Ethan did not come to school on Thurs, so Ms Kristy suggested I shared the tidbits with my classmates on Fri instead.

Special Homemade 肉干
This year, Mummy decided to try her hands at making 肉干 for CNY. She searched through the Internet for recipes, before she decided on one.
Went shopping for the ingredients ... 1kg of fresh pork can make about 700g of the end product, and it all cost only about $10 !!! Because our oven is small, so Mummy had to make a few batches, but within 2 hrs, the product was out !!!
Does it look like what you get in the shops..... the taste was quite like the real thing, and its very moist. Actually its very moist cos its grilled in the oven so all the meat are being grilled in their own juice. The commercial ones are grilled in an open grill so the juice can drip down. So Mummy reckon that it can't be kept long (and of course its preservatives free).
Its actually quite easy to make.... So Mummy is making them in small batches and going to do it again nearer CNY so that I can have preservatives and colouring free 肉干 :)
